1. Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards
Minnesota elects to go with the explosive 6’5 guard out of Georgia to pair with D’Angelo Russell. They could have also gone with Lamelo Ball or James Wiseman but Edwards and his playstyle are a better match here.
2. Golden State Warriors: James Wiseman
The Warriors are open to trading away this pick, but assuming they keep it, Wiseman is an athletic center that completes this team and could make them a scary sight.
3. Charlotte Hornets: Lamelo Ball
Ball is one of the most interesting, low floor, high ceiling players in this draft. He is a unique talent that could go in the top 2, but I have him falling to 3 here. I think Michael Jordan and the rest of this organization will jump on the opportunity to draft Ball here, even with their gaping hole at Center.
4. Chicago Bulls: Deni Avdija
Coming out of Tel Aviv Avdija is a top 5 talent in this year’s draft, and I have him fitting nicely here in Chicago’s offense.
5. Cleveland Cavaliers: Obi Toppin
The Cavs struggled to stay relevant after the departure of Lebron James, hopefully, the offensive force of Obi Toppin can help bring back the glory days, although, there is some work to be done for him on the defensive side of his game.
