Chesed Corner: Tefillah Tuesdays

As time goes by in the NSHAHS, more and more amazing Chesed opportunities are offered to us all! This year, Mrs. Septimus, our Chesed inspiration, organized a weekly girls’ Tefillah program to bring us together through our connection to Hashem. In this initiative, we gather side by side to perform the mitzvah of עִבְדוּ אֶת-ה׳ בְּשִׂמְחָה בֹּאוּ לְפָנָיו בִּרְנָנָה.

This mitzvah suggests that we worship Hashem with joy and happiness. When one prays through a bright and optimistic lens, one not only better appreciates the tefillot, but also experiences a more poignant, motivating, and inspiring spiritual journey. What especially defines this program is the way in which we synchronize our tefillot to radiate the room with our emunah in Hashem. This beautiful idea of coming together and elevating ourselves towards Hashem truly enhances each individual’s experience.

At the end of our tefillot, we are all more than prepared for the happy and productive day that awaits us. To make it even more special, Mrs. Septimus provides all of us girls with flavored iced coffees and pastries for breakfast! Overall, Tefillah Tuesdays is enjoyable and heartening for us to associate with one another through the beauty of tefillah.
