On Wednesday, November 2nd, the Class of 2023 had the privilege of praying Shacharit on the soccer field while overlooking the morning sunrise. Students arrived at school at 6:50 am and joined Rabbi Braun for a beautiful tefillah filled with Kavanah (purpose) and North Shore spirit. Everyone davened together and took beautiful pictures of the sunrise.
Talia Weinrauch, the photographer of the grade, had her camera with her and was snapping shots all morning. Following our special, early-morning tefillah, we headed inside to join Rabbi Wienberg for a kumzitz, where the grade united in singing beautiful, upbeat songs. Everyone was dressed in comfortable and warm blankets and slippers. We surrounded Rabbi Weinberg and his guitar and bonded through music. We finished the morning off with Dunkin Donuts and coffee. Everyone hung out in the lunchroom and the senior lounge until classes began. Senior Sunrise was definitely a highlight of senior year that we cherish as we enjoy our last months at North Shore.
