Welcome to the first issue of North Shore Notes. Unfortunately, this is not a typical issue, because we are not living in typical times. In preparing this issue, we felt it impossible to write about teacher quotes and movie recommendations, club fairs and sports games, as endless violence affects those overseas and seeps close to home. North Shore Notes must continue to accurately relay information - not only in times of excitement, but also in times of difficulty when it is especially crucial to remain united as a school and as a Jewish community. Therefore, we felt it was our responsibility to dedicate this first issue to the events occurring in Israel - presenting information, student opinions, and actions taken by the school. This is not the introduction we wanted to write, but the one that had to be written.
North Shore Notes is a digital platform on which we send out weekly newsletters, with the goal of keeping everyone in the loop about what’s going on at school, in the world, and about anything else under the sun. We look forward to continuing to publish entertaining articles, with the help of our dedicated staff. If anyone is still interested in becoming a writer for North Shore Notes, you are welcome to join by December!
