During, and even before these terrible times in Israel, Jews all around the world have been on the receiving end of antisemitism, whether it's on the internet or in real life. As a community, we Jews have come together to combat this negativity being thrown towards us. From rallies to protests; from Instagram stories to Twitter threads; we have shown immense bravery and strength, and have encouraged others to do the same. Last week, North Shore Hebrew Academy High School participated in two rallies in order to support our fellow Jews in Israel and express our love for our country. Each person had the opportunity to speak for their own rights and help fight against antisemitism. “There were a multitude of things we did as a school and as a community that helped us grapple with this hatred. I think it was a very important and necessary action that needed to be taken,” stated Talia Rabizadeh, a ninth grade student. High school students all around the world truly understand the meaning of what it is to be Jewish and are showing their pride for their country by attending these rallies. During these troubling times, we must remember where we came from and stand up for what we believe.
